Frommer's Review
Minnesotans Clint and Jayne Carlson operate this pleasant little resort at the mouth of the narrow bay that nearly slices Beqa in two. As a result, it enjoys one of the most picturesque views of any Fiji resort. A jagged peak gives way to the azure Beqa Lagoon, while Viti Levu's southern coast lines the horizon. All buildings have tin roofs and ship-plank siding, lending a South Seas plantation ambience to the property. Bathrooms in the spacious guest bures open to both living rooms and bedrooms. The bures lack airconditioning, but ceiling fans whip up a breeze. All but two of them face the beach and shallow lagoon. Dining here is family-style in the central building. A swimming pool fronts the full-service spa, which has an air-conditioned lounge with TV and DVD player. Meals and non-motorized watersports are included in the rates. Smoking is not allowed in any of the buildings here.
