Kormil isn't much more than a few bench-seat tables tucked into an alley-size side street off Novalja's main square, but the local hangout is definitely worth seeking out for its atmosphere and its food. The menu is limited to a few dishes served family style, and each is enough for a very large family. Don't miss the fried calamari, which is among the best prepared in Dalmatia. Not far behind are the pan-fried sardellen and local prsut, each of which can be ordered separately or as part of a variety platter that lets you taste everything.
