It's a shame the owners of the Las Vegas are blind to the retro-cool potential of this early-1970s building, having recently "renovated" with cheap furnishings and zero eye for style. Still, the suites have terraces, and the hotel rises high above the Caffè Pomodoro restaurant and the Wine Bar -- convenient if you don't feel like walking far for a meal. This is the cheapest of the area's aparthotels, and service here is the friendliest. Some rooms have old, battered kitchens, others have just a hot plate and minifridge. Ask to see a few rooms -- quality varies from one to the next, especially the quality of mattresses.
