An arty cultural center-cum-bar located on Plaza Herrera, La Casona is one of the new hip venues popping up around Casco Viejo. Out back, a cement open area and a makeshift stage provide space for the bar's live music on weekends; you'll also find art exhibitions and other cultural goings-on. The scene here is mellow, and they're open during the day. The crowd depends on what kind of entertainment is scheduled that night. Saturdays often feature jazz.
