This establishment may seem like the average Parisian restaurant from the outside, but on any given Sunday, you will encounter the friendlier side of Paris in this almost completely gentrified neighborhood. A trio of musicians chante French golden oldies, and a few empty wine bottles later, the foodies are singing along. The wine prices are reasonable, and you tip for the musicians. So, almost overnight, Chez Ramulaud has become the place to be in Paris on a Sunday. Actually it's a good choice for lunch or dinner at any time. Tried-and-true specialties lure a list of habitués. Rump steak is perfectly prepared with a nutty sauce, or else you can order a cakelike pasta made with spicy sausage and crab. For dessert, the chef is justifiably proud of his white chocolate mousse made with pistachios.
