This is an unpretentious but charming choice in a great location. In a restored 18th-century town house, the hotel has elaborate decor, with bamboo and reed furniture and French provincial touches. The guest rooms are on the small side, but the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms well maintained, with tubs or shower units. A garden off the lobby leads to a basement breakfast room that has a fireplace.
