Built in 1889 by Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, with the same metallic skeleton as the famous tower, Le Paradis Latin represents the architect's only venture into theater design. The place is credited with introducing vaudeville and musical theater to Paris. In 1903 the building was a warehouse, but in the 1970s it was transformed into a successful cabaret whose singers, dancers, and special effects extol the fun, frivolity, and permissiveness of the City of Light. The show includes tasteful nudity (they contrast their more dignified nudity -- breasts only -- with the more blatant and unabashed nudity at Crazy Horse), a ventriloquist, and a trapeze artist. The master of ceremonies speaks in French and English. Dinner Wednesday to Monday 8pm; reviews at 9:30pm.
