Declaring itself “the first ecological, economical, and activist hotel,” these basic lodgings feature compact florescent lighting, composting, and recycling. The bright blue rooms have a hostel-like feel (though they are private), but the mattresses are firm and everything is clean and tidy. There is a nice garden for sipping your fair trade tea and bicycles for guests’ use. The location is excellent, just around the corner from rue Daguerre, an adorable pedestrian market street, and a short walk from airport buses and transit at Denfert-Rochereau. There are two buildings, one with free Wi-Fi in the rooms, one with Wi-Fi only in the common areas, where there are guest computers. Rooms are a great deal at 79€, including an organic breakfast.
