This is one of the best of the dozens of crêperies concentrated near the Montparnasse train station. The cooks working the griddle know exactly how to achieve the lacy, golden edges of a perfect galette, and they are not shy with the butter. Josselin’s specialty is the “couple,” a double crepe that uses two of these lacy confections in one dish. It’s delicious but filling; if you are not starving ask the waiter to make it a “simple.” Tradition demands that this meal be accompanied by a bowl of hard cider (low alcohol content; for adults only). The easy prices, continuous service, and wide range of flavor combinations make this a great option for children as well. Closed on Monday, but you can wander down to No. 59, Le Petit Josselin, its sister restaurant (closed Sun).
