Serving what they call "American Western cuisine," this upscale dinner restaurant, which opened in 2003, is owned and operated by the same people who do such a great job at nearby Cafe Terigo (reviewed at the beginning of this section). The atmosphere is what we might describe as "refined casual Western," and the menu offers innovative and sometimes fascinating variations on American favorites. Beef eaters will especially enjoy the filet, which has a spicy rub and is served with bacon-wrapped asparagus and sweet corn relish. We also recommend the grilled shrimp in chipotle-and-leek sauce, served on golden polenta cakes; and the sautéed chicken and sweet peppers in tequila lime cream sauce on a bed of fettuccine. The restaurant offers full liquor service.
