Built in 2005 on the fringe of the forest and the floodplain near Peulla, this property is less of a lodge than its name suggests; in fact, the main building has the sort of traditional grand wood-and-stone style you see in much older hotels. Don't let that deter you. Rooms are chic and large; the matrimonial suit features a king-size bed, chimney, flat-screen TV, and a Jacuzzi, along with a balcony. The hotel also has a two-room family apartment, and 23 doubles with king-size beds. Irrespective of its traditional looks, it offers plenty of modern outdoor activities: canopying 15m (49 ft.) in the air over an 800m (half-mile) span, horseback riding, and fly-fishing.
