Active PursuitsIf you visit Pécs in the summer, plan for the heat. Air-conditioning is not common, so cool off in the waves at Hullám uszoda (Wave Swimming Pool) on Szendrey Júlia utca 7 (tel. 72/512-935). Admission is 900 Ft. The pool is open daily from 6am to 10pm throughout the year. Another swimming pool complex, which belongs to the university is at Ifjúság útja 6 (tel. 72/501-519 ext. 4195). There is a wading pool for kids as well as a 25m (82 ft) lap pool. Admission is 700 Ft. It is only open to the public 6am to 8am and 4pm to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to midnight on Saturday.
