This is the area's greatest hotel, yet its prices are reasonable for the luxury it offers. Tranquillity, style, and refinement reign supreme. Located in a suburb 4km (2 1/2 miles) from Perpignan, La Villa Duflot is a Mediterranean-style dwelling surrounded by a park of pine, palm, and eucalyptus. You can sunbathe in the gardens surrounding the pool and order drinks from the outside bar. The good-size guest rooms surround a patio planted with century-old olive trees. All are spacious and soundproof, with marble tub/shower bathrooms and Art Deco interiors. The restaurant is reason enough to stay.
