Getting There

By Train -- Trains pull into Pforzheim at least once an hour from Munich (trip time: 3 hr.), Frankfurt (trip time: 2 hr.), and Stuttgart (trip time: 1 1/2 hr.). The railway station lies within an 8-minute walk of the center. For information, call tel. 01805/996633 or visit www.bahn.de.

By Bus -- Bus travel to Pforzheim is a lot less practical than rail travel. The bus stop is at Leopoldplatz, in the town center.

By Car -- Pforzheim lies beside the high-speed A-8 Autobahn that stretches between Munich and Karlsruhe. Transit from Stuttgart takes between 45 and 90 minutes; from Munich, around 2 1/2 hours; and from Frankfurt, around 2 hours.
