Four Seasons Hotel Review

In short, the best-run hotel in the city. Overlooking the grand Swann fountain of Logan Square, this eight-story horseshoe boasts plush guest rooms of a rich American elegance, with views of Logan Circle or the interior courtyard; those on the seventh floor enjoy private verandas. Request a room that looks down the parkway to the art museum and across to the Free Library, and you will be dazzled day and night.

A reservation at hotel's formal Fountain restaurant remains one of the most sought-after in town. I also like the hotel's cafe room, which offers slightly more casual fare at about half the price, and the sophisticated Swann Lounge, open for lunch, afternoon tea, and cocktails. The hotel's day spa -- right across from the pristine indoor pool -- offers amazing facials and massages.

Facilities:
2 restaurants; cafe; babysitting; concierge; health club; Jacuzzi; indoor heated pool; room service; spa; town-car service within Center City

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
