Dimly lit and hard to find, the beloved old Northern Liberties stalwart known as Ortleibs' Jazzhouse closed down in 2010 but was reborn in this new location in spring 2012.  The stage has also moved beyond jazz to embrace blues and folk, soul and electronica, funk and punk, and plenty of straight-up and bouillabaisse-of-influences post-modern alternative. Live music plays most Wednesdays through Sundays (some Tuesdays as well). Check Ortlieb's website calendar for details. More established acts (usually on the weekends) might invoke a $6–$10 cover, but many nights the entertainment is free.

There are 10 beers on draft, and the full menu of pub grub is served until midnight. Happy hour (Tues-Sat 6–8pm, Sun 10pm–midnight) see the prices dive to $3 on domestic drafts and $1 on tacos.
