This is the bar in hip, midst-of-gentrifying Northern Liberties. Standard Tap is a bar-bar—not a sports bar, or a music bar, or a wine bar, or an Irish pub. It is a bar where you go to drink beer and eat excellent pub grub (I'm partial to the pulled pork sandwiches, though the seafood is also good; unusual, for a bar).  What's more, it is a Philly bar—and it bets its reputation on the taps themselves. There are 20 of those, and they flow exclusively with locally brewed beers: Yards and Flying Fish, Dock Street and Victory, Sly Fox and Stoudts.  If it’s nice out, ask for a table on the deck.
