This beautiful old adobe hacienda, built by cowboy artist Lon Megargee at his Hermosa Inn, is, along with El Chorro Lodge, about as classically Arizona as you can get in its tranquil desert elegance. The spacious patio, protected by a giant mesquite, is a lovely place to dine or drink in the winter months, from brunch to dinner. The restaurant proper and its intimate, dark bar are cozy and romantic. Dishes often include herbs grown in the restaurant’s own garden, and other ingredients are, as much as possible, from ecologically sound sources.
