Located in the upscale Shops at Gainey Village, Bloom is part of a regional chain that includes several great Phoenix area restaurants and a couple of my favorite Tucson restaurants -- Wildflower and Bistro Zin. The minimalist decor emphasizes flowers, an elegant wine bar serves a wide range of flights (tasting assortments), and the bistro-style menu has lots of great dishes in a wide range of prices. Opt for one of the wonderfully creative salads, such as fresh artichoke hearts with shaved Parmesan and white-truffle oil; there are also enough interesting appetizers to create a very satisfying dinner. The roast duck with drunken cherry sauce is excellent. This place is big and always buzzing with energy.
