This is the newest, high-end resort to come to Phu Quoc. Run by the Accor group (of Sofitel fame), La Veranda is akin to a seaside mansion. They are pretty much the only luxury resort on the island, with big villas overlooking their pristine beach. The resort is done in a colonial style, and things are cozy and intimate. The owner originally purchased this property to build herself a residential house, but couldn't resist opening a tiny boutique hotel instead. It's laid out in a U-shape, to maximize views of the ocean. This place is poised to become the destination of choice on this secluded island.
