Villas Playa Sámara

Toward the southern extreme of Playa Sámara, right on the beach, this place has the best setting and most extensive grounds around. Built to resemble a small village, the hotel consists of numerous villas varying in size from one to three bedrooms. White-stucco exterior walls and red-tile roofs give the whole thing a Mediterranean look, and the whole complex is set right off a nice, quiet, and calm section of beach. The spacious rooms are outfitted with simple furniture and have tiled bathrooms. All the villas have kitchens and patios, and are finished with colorful bedspreads and artwork, basket lampshades, and vertical blinds on the windows. Not all have air-conditioning. This place has many of the facilities and amenities one would expect at a midsize beach resort. However, the upkeep and maintenance have been spotty over the years, and service can be downright bad.
