Frommer's Review
This imposing 1884 Italianate home in the architecturally distinctive Western Prom neighborhood surprises guests with interiors that are both whimsical and elegant -- a fatally cloying combination when attempted by anyone without impeccably good taste. Expect bold artwork and eclectic antique furniture. (Some readers have reported that the decor is a bit too bustling for them.) Most units have gas fireplaces; the best is the carriage house, with its own terrace, kitchenette, and fireplace. Tea and wine are served upon arrival, and the sit-down breakfasts are tasty. The inn is well situated for exploring Western Prom; downtown is a 20-minute walk away.
