Planning a Trip
Getting There -- SITA buses leave from Sorrento frequently throughout the day, more often in summer than winter, for the rather thrilling ride to Positano; a one-way fare is 1.30€ ($1.70/85p). For information, call SITA at tel. 081-6106711. If you have a car, Positano lies along Route 145, which becomes Route 163 at the approach to the resort. Visitor Information -- The tourist office, Via del Saracino 4 (tel. 089-875067; www.positanonline.it), is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 9am to 1pm November to May; Monday to Saturday 9am to 8pm June to October.
