HotelsAs you would expect of such a world-renowned resort town, you'll find a large range of accommodations, with relatively high rates. If you'd like to stay in the vertical countryside above town, and provided you are adequately fit, we recommend the agriturismo Rifugio degli Dei, Via Arienzo 43 (tel. 339-8390809; fax 089-811279; www.rifugiodeglidei.it), up some 250 stairs and 183m (600 ft.) of footpath; the staff will carry your luggage up from SS 163. Staying at a B&B -- Given the huge demand for moderately priced rooms in Positano (under 200€ on average, btw. 130€-260€ depending on the season and the quality of the room), B&Bs have flourished. Our favorites are La Tavolozza, Via Cristoforo Colombo 10 (tel. 089-875040); Villa Rosa, Via C. Colombo 127 (tel. 089-811955; www.villarosapositano.it); La Rosa dei Venti, Via Fornillo 40 (tel. 089-875252; www.larosadeiventi.net); Casa Maresca, Via Lepanto 17 (tel. 089-875679; www.casamaresca.it); Casa Soriano, Via Pasitea (tel. 089-875494); and La Fenice, Via Marconi 4, Chetrara (tel. 089-875513; www.bbfenice.com).
