Granát Turnov, the monopoly that controls the Czech Republic's favorite gem industry, is the place to visit if you're serious about shopping for garnets. Expect to pay between 1,000Kc and 2,500Kc ($41 and $104) for a midpriced ring or bracelet. Open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
