Frommer's Review
This 13th-century church holds 17th-century paintings by the likes of Empoli and Lorenzo Lippi. Off the cloister is the Cappella di San Michele, with the remains of a 14th-century frescoed police lineup of saints and, in the next tiny chapel, a Pietà from the same era.
If you've got some more time, head down Via Convenevole and detour up Via Seminario. Ring at no. 28 and ask, "Posso vedere ('can I see') San Fabiano?"; it's one of the oldest churches in Prato. The interior is modernized, but they do preserve bits of the early medieval mosaic floor mounted on the walls. Some, such as the siren figure, were probably adopted straight from pagan symbolism and hint at a possible older cultish temple on this site.
