I can't quite figure out how a high-end fusion restaurant ended up at the end of a dirt road on the outskirts of this backwater town, but it has -- and it's worth a visit. Heavy wooden tables are spread around the open-air first floor of this converted home. The small kitchen is clearly visible through the serving bar. Everything is softly lit and casually elegant. The menu changes regularly but might include Cajun blackened mahimahi with a fresh pineapple salsa, or grilled pork chops seasoned with a black pepper, star anise, and coffee rub. The appetizers and desserts are equally creative and unexpected. The small wine list features French and Italian wines, reasonably priced.
