The Conrad Resort & Casino Review

This 14-story complex, a blue streamlined structure, has became the de facto town center and is a hive of activity. Some rooms have a California vibe, with casual decor in terra cottas and neutral tones; others are modern and more severe; and still others have a tropical playfulness to them. All rooms facing the Río de la Plata have balconies, and the suites have balconies enormous enough for entertaining several guests, which is common in the summertime. There are several restaurants in the lobby and other areas of the hotel. The pool and spa complex is a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, with a view to the Río de la Plata. There is also the children's complex, where you can leave your kids and gain some free time. The 24-hour casino has 450 slot machines and 63 gaming tables; it's definitely worth visiting even if you're not staying here.

Facilities:
5 restaurants; several bars; babysitting; casino; children's center; concierge; large health club; indoor and outdoor heated pools; room service; spa; theater and show complex; Wi-Fi in lobby

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
