At the site of what used to be an old-fashioned interpretation center, this all-new waterfront pavilion opened in the summer of 2008 as the central location for Québec's 400th-anniversary celebrations. Purposely raw-looking, it's a vast glass, metal, and concrete space. It's now being used for temporary exhibitions by Festival d'été international de Québec. In 2010, there was a show about the Titanic, followed by Hockey dans la peau ("Hockey, it's in our DNA") in 2011. Check the provincial tourist office (tel. 877/BONJOUR or 514/873-2015; www.bonjourquebec.com) for current information.
