Successfully challenging Chez Dagobert (across the street) at the top rung of the nightlife ladder, this triple-tiered enterprise occupies a converted mansion at the thumping heart of the Grande-Allée scene. It includes a surprisingly good restaurant (VooDoo Grill), a couple of bars, and music that tilts heavily toward Latin. In the wintertime, there's a sidewalk-level "Icecothèque" with a bar made completely of ice, ice sculptures, and roaring music. Theme nights are frequent, and crowds of nearly 1,000 20- and 30-somethings are not unusual.
