Roomy and sophisticated, this is one of the best-looking bars in town. It's done in British-pub style: polished mahogany, exposed brick, and a working fireplace that's particularly comforting during the eight cold months. Bartenders serve more than 40 single-malt scotches and more than 200 beers, along with hearty victuals that complement the brews. Live music -- rock, blues, sometimes jazz or Irish -- is occasionally presented, but check before planning your night around that.
