Deep Sea Fishing
PEI's north shore is home to the island's greatest concentration of deep-sea fishing boats. For C$20 to C$35 (US$18-C$32/£10-£18) per person, you'll get 3 hours out on the seas in search of mackerel, cod, and flounder. Don't worry about lack of prior experience: Equipment is supplied, crewmembers are very helpful, and most will even clean and fillet your catch for you.
In North Rustico, about a half-dozen captains offer fishing trips. Among them are Aiden's Deep Sea Fishing (tel. 866/510-3474 or 902/963-3522) and Bearded Skipper's Deep-Sea Fishing (tel. 902/963-2334). Or try Richard's Deep-Sea Fishing (tel. 902/672-2376) or Salty Seas Deep-Sea Fishing (tel. 902/672-3246), both a 20-minute drive east of North Rustico, at Covehead Harbour (within the national park).
