Brian Savage and Colleen Ryan sailed around the world chartering their yacht for 10 years, and then bought Remarkables Lodge, which they have infused with new life and style. With a big extension and a total makeover, this lovely property has been brought back from the brink and you'll love its quiet, understated, rural charm. Standouts here are the friendly staff, the fabulous meals, and some of the best beds I've slept in. They also offer some terrific exclusive tours -- Cascade Hut, for instance -- that you won't want to miss.
