Frommer's Review
This is the second-best large hotel in town, after the JW Marriott. It may be a Swissôtel, but the rooms here have much more of a Danish feel. The rooms are very modern with a touch of classic Danish design: sleek blond-wood paneling, cream-colored striated wallpaper, and stylish wood desks, dressers, and closets. The bathrooms are very spacious and have double sinks and brand-new fixtures. The pool area is attractive but it's so tiny that only a few lounge chairs are available on the grass outside; on weekends there's hardly a vacant spot in which to stretch out. You'll get all the typical services and amenities of a high-end business hotel. About 15 years old, the Swissôtel doesn't feel as new or hip as the Marriott, but it does have a good location, as well as a handful of excellent, if overpriced, restaurants and perhaps the best hotel health club in Quito.
