The "garden of the sun" hotel offers inexpensive and basic accommodations and is conveniently located close to many of New Town's bars and restaurants. The friendly staff will welcome you with a smile and seems to genuinely care about making your stay as pleasant as possible. Units are small but clean and simply furnished with wood beds and tiny bathrooms with tiled floors. Some rooms have balconies with limited views of Quito; a few have yellow walls as bright as the sunshine (thus the hotel's name). Next to the lobby is a computer room with free Internet access for guests. Another nice touch is the complimentary transfer from the airport if you book directly with the hotel -- but be sure to call the day before to confirm that you are being met.
