Hotel Patio Andaluz

This stately hotel is a fabulous option in the center of Quito's colonial core. Rooms are spread around the perimeters of two large central courtyard areas. The rooms are all large and elegant, with wood floors, Persian rugs, antique-style furniture and beds, large desks, and 37-inch flatscreen televisions. Most units have windows opening onto one of the two central courtyards (a few face the street). The suites are all two levels, with a bedroom on one level and a comfortable sitting room on the other. But suites have only one bathroom, and sometimes it's located on the level with the sitting room, so if you like your bathroom just steps away from your bedroom, be sure to request that arrangement. Room 401 has incredible panoramic views of the Basilica and Ichimbia hill. However, you'll have to work a little for this view, as there are no elevators here.
