Frommer's Review
Good, moderate-priced accommodations are hard to find in Rabat, and while this hotel isn't perfect, there are still a few good points to focus on. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the medina, and is within walking distance to the Hassan Tower and Mausoleum of Mohammed V. A secure car park at the rear is a bonus for self-drivers. Some of the rooms have recently been renovated and offer modern bathrooms and balconies, while others are a bit smaller with dated furnishings. However, the hotel is located on an extremely busy corner -- it's one of the city's main grand taxi terminals -- and the outside facing rooms are subject to incessant car and street noise. There's a ground-floor restaurant, which I don't recommended, and separate bar, both of which look onto a central, covered courtyard, where there's live Moroccan music most nights. Tip: Prebook your room -- there's usually English-speaking reception staff on duty -- and request a rear-facing room on one of the higher floors.
