Frommer's Review
Located conveniently between Rabat Ville station and the medina, the recently refurbished Royal is the best in this price range. All the rooms are bright and airy, with simple furnishings, white walls, tiled floors, and large windows overlooking either the shaded street or Triangle de Vue park. There's plenty of floor space for luggage, and the bathrooms are modern with walk-in showers. Red-carpeted steps lead to a small reception area, where English-speaking Jamal Bouhouch is usually on hand to welcome guests. The Mediterranean-style in-house restaurant is accessed from here, and is open for all meals, though I recommend it only for the included breakfast.
There's a very handy elevator, which works most of the time. Tip: Some of the rooms are yet to be furnished with new beds, so check out a few before deciding. Also, the single rooms can be quite small.
Facilities:
Restaurant; elevator

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
