Its strip-mall setting belies the serene and elegant enclave inside. A big aquarium looms in the background, and wooden dividers break up the space and ensure privacy. On an upper level, the bartender makes the best martinis in the capital. Seafood and steak are the specialties, but the chefs roam the globe for inspiration and are particularly strong in Pacific Rim culinary influences. A special feature is the live music presented on Friday.
On our most recent visit, our party plowed through the menu in a quest for new taste sensations, and we weren't disappointed. Quite the contrary. We enjoyed such delights as Parmesan-dusted oysters, rillettes of rabbit, and fresh fried calamari. For our main course, we tried the panko-crumbed grouper with ginger-lime hollandaise sauce.
