Neil Dearlove's cafe/coffee house, which would grace Auckland's trendy Parnell district, is my favorite place to grab a papaya muffin and a latte (known as a "flat white" in this part of the world) before striking out on my rounds of Avarua. And when I have finished my walk, I often retire here and select from daily specials or a panini-style sandwich. Lots of natural wood and big canvas patio umbrellas hung from the ceiling create an outdoorsy ambience. Neil roasts his own coffee.
