Getting There
By Train -- Reichenau's railway station lies midway between the larger railway junctions of Radolfzell (to the west) and Konstanz (to the east). Trains from throughout Germany and Switzerland make frequent stops at both those cities, from which passengers heading to Reichenau can transfer onto a small railway line that makes runs at hourly intervals on to Bahnhof Reichenau. Buses from Bahnhof Reichenau to Insel Reichenau (the city's historic core) take 10 minutes each way. For information, call tel. 01805/99-66-33.

By Car -- From Konstanz, motorists should take Route 33 east to Reichenau.
By Boat -- For information about the ferryboats that ply the waters between Reichenau and the German lakeside hamlet of Allensbach, running April to October only, call tel. 07533/98848.
Visitor Information
The tourist office is the Verkehrsbüro, Pirmimstrasse 145 (tel. 07534/92070). May to September, it's open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30 to 6pm, Saturday 9am to noon; October to April, hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to noon and 2 to 5pm.
