This old storefront with pressed-tin ceiling is home to Richmond's best comfort food, which one local wag described as "soul food for white folks." Very good versions of meatloaf, fried catfish, and pulled pork barbecue appear, all in substantial portions, but I went to the nightly specials list for a smoky pork tenderloin in a bourbon-and-molasses sauce served with braised collard greens and cheese grits. My Southern mother never cooked anything that good.
