Large and modern, Claro Hall is located in the far-off corners of Barra da Tijuca in the Shopping Via Parque. Most international stars and many of Brazil's big talents favor this 10,000-seat auditorium. Tickets are always pricey. To reach this by public transit take one of the air-conditioned vans (R$4/US$1.65) that run along the Copacabana and Ipanema waterfront. Look for ones that say Barra and ask if they stop at the Via Parque or Claro Hall. On the way home it's safer to take a taxi.
