Frommer's Review
Category-defying Santa Rosa Lounge is both a gorgeous lounge, perfect for sipping cocktails or specialty beers, as well as an excellent restaurant offering creative and beautifully presented food. Opened in 2005, the Santa Rosa combines a rustic, elegant ambience with interesting art work, making it one of the most pleasant lounges in Ipanema. Wherever you decide to grab a spot, try at least a few of the appetizers such as the grilled fish skewers (espetinho) or crunchy spring rolls (rolinho primavera). If you do stay for dinner you won't be disappointed. The Salmão e linguado (sole and salmon rolled together in bokchoy and served with a passion-fruit sauce) is delicious. Even desserts are worth trying, especially the taxi, a sinfully rich brownie with coffee cream and a garam masala-spiced icing.
