Smack bang in the middle of the medieval town, with terraces overlooking the verdant valley, this hotel’s location is pretty unbeatable. The stone walls were built in the 15th century by an Order of Malta commander, Jehan de Valon (1440–1516). Today the rear terrace provides a view of the Val d’Alzou. The reception area has heavy beams and a cavernous fireplace. Rooms are comfortable, air-conditioned and tastefully decorated; many have beautiful views, and some have spa bathtubs. Family rooms for up to four people have a living room.

The restaurant affords breathtaking views and serves regional cuisine prepared by chef Xavier Menot, whose family has owned the place for generations. Fixed-price menus cost 40€ at lunch and dinner, with main courses ranging from 19.50€-33€. The kids’ menu costs 14€.
