This pensione is on a small street radiating from Piazza Navona's southeastern tip. The rooms aren't as grand as the exterior, but the Navona offers decent accommodations, some of which open to views of the central courtyard. Run by an Australian-born family of Italian descent, it boasts ceilings high enough to help relieve the midsummer heat, as well as an array of architectural oddities -- the legacy of the continual construction that this palace has undergone since 1360. The beds, most often twins or doubles, have fine linens. Each is equipped with a cramped shower-only bathroom. You can get an air-conditioned room by request for 15€ ($17) extra per night (only in the doubles with bathrooms).
