Frommer's Review
Lots of sophisticated travelers are choosing this chic boutique hotel over old landmarks like the St. Regis Grand. In an Art Deco villa set on a residential hilltop in Parioli, an area of embassies and exclusive town houses at the edge of the Villa Borghese, the Lord Byron exemplifies modern Rome. From the curving entrance steps off the staffed parking lot in front, you'll notice striking design touches. Flowers are everywhere, the lighting is discreet, and everything is on an intimate scale. Each guest room is unique, but most have lots of mirrors, upholstered walls, sumptuous beds, spacious bathrooms with gray marble accessories, and big dressing rooms/closets. Ask for room no. 503, 602, or 603 for great views. Bathrooms are medium size. The hotel's restaurant, Sapori del Lord Byron, is one of Rome's top restaurants.
