In the historical center of Rome, this hotel opened in 1975, a small, cozy, and well-appointed choice that doesn't advertise for its business but depends on word of mouth from satisfied customers. The helpful English-speaking staff will ease you into the Eternal City. An unpretentious family-run hotel, it offers bedrooms that, while comfortably furnished, are in a sober, rather functional style. The hotel's most notable feature is a rooftop garden opening onto a panoramic view. Surprisingly for a hotel of this size, its bar is open 24 hours a day. Some three- and four-bedded rooms are available, making them suitable for small families.
