Frommer's Review
Sophisticated Harry's Bar is a perennial favorite of post-40 foreign visitors. Every major Italian city (such as Florence and Venice) seems to have one, and Rome is no exception, although this one has no connection with the others. In summer, tables are placed outside. If you want to dine outdoors but avoid the scorching sun, there's an air-conditioned sidewalk cafe open from May to November. Meals inside cost about double what you'd pay outside. In back is a small dining room serving some of the finest (and priciest) food in central Rome. The restaurant inside is open Monday through Saturday from 12:30 to 3pm and 7:30pm to 1am. Outside you can eat from noon to midnight. The bar is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 2am (closed 1 week in mid-Aug), and the piano bar is open nightly from 9:30pm, with music starting at 11pm.
