Frommer's Review
At this old-fashioned store, you'll find an array of unusual foodstuffs from around the Mediterranean. If you want herbs from Apulia, cheese from the Valle d'Aosta, or an obscure brand of balsamic vinegar, Castroni will have it. Filled to the rafters with the abundance of agrarian Italy, it also carries foods that are exotic in Italy but commonplace in North America, such as taco shells, corn curls, and peanut butter.
